Our Pre-K Dolphins had some hands-on fun in the classroom this week! 🧈✨ Students learned how butter is made and watched it transform right before their eyes. After all their hard work, they even got to enjoy a little taste test! 😋

As we near PM3 testing, we want to remind you of these important reminders about technology. 🚨 No smartphones/cell phones, smart glasses, wireless headphones, smart watches, etc. Even if these are OFF, they are not permitted during testing. Thank you to all of our students and families who supported and purchased Candy Grams! 💙🐬 GBE was able to donate $1,161.13 to the Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research to support childhood cancer research. A special shoutout to our amazing 5th grade teachers and students for leading this initiative. We are so proud of the way you are modeling leadership, compassion, and the importance of giving back. March is almost here, Dolphins! 🐬 We’re welcoming spring with a month full of exciting events, important dates, and lots of learning ahead! Be sure to mark your calendars so you don’t miss any of the fun. ☘️ It’s a great month to make waves at GBE! 💙 ‼️ Please note: FAST Testing begins this month on March 31st with 5th Grade Writing. Being on time and ready to show what you know is very important! The Writing test is a component on a child's ELA overall score. Scores will determine what courses students take in middle school. 🚨

This week, some of our 5th grade students participated in Star Books! 📚 Students were able to sip, taste, and read their way through different genres! The activity was complete with drinks and snacks to make it feel just like Starbucks. ☕️ From fantasy and mysteries to realistic fiction and more, our readers were fully engaged. Way to grow your reading, dolphins! 🐬💙 Shout out to our 5th grade ELA teachers - Mrs. Vignes, Mrs. Brian, and Mrs. Tiner - for providing this experience for students!

GBE Bus 719 - Friday 2/20: We wanted to let you know Bus 719 will be split today between bus 706 & 727. Please expect delays. Thank you!

Mrs. Irvin’s 1st grade class worked on student-led teaming activities in math today! Student-led academic teaming is an instructional strategy that builds critical thinking, meaningful conversations, and collaboration skills. Some of our teachers were trained this month, and many more will be trained next month as we continue growing this work across campus. We can’t wait to see the impact this has on our students and the growth they will make! 💙

GBE Bus 719: We wanted to inform you that students on Bus 719 will be taken home by Bus 727 and 706 this afternoon. Please expect delays. Thank you!
