GBE Families: We conducted a lockdown drill at school today as part of our regular emergency drill process as required by state law. We know that drills can cause possible concerns for our students, but we believe it’s important for them to know exactly what to do in an emergency and these practice drills enhance their safety. FAST Writing is Coming Up! 🚨
Our 5th graders will test on March 31, and 4th grade will test on April 1. This assessment is a portion of your child’s overall ELA score and is computer-based. 💻
Testing begins promptly at 8:30 a.m., so please help your child arrive on time, well-rested, and ready to do their best!

Welcome Back! We hope you and your family have had a happy and restful Spring Break. We are ready to get the 4th quarter of this school year started! Take a look at the week ahead.

STEAM Family Night @ 4:00-6:00pm - Join us for hands-on family activities centered around STEAM Careers!
As a reminder, testing begins with FAST Writing for 5th Grade on March 31 and 4th Grade on April 1. All testing begins promptly at 8:30am. It is important that students get a good night of sleep, nutritious breakfast, are on time, and are ready to show what they know!
Lastly, a few other reminders.
Guest Dining - If you are eating lunch with your child, please use the yellow guest dining tables. No photographs please. Additionally, there is no sharing of food with other students due to allergies and other safety concerns. Only one additional child can attend at the guest area with you and you must be on his/her FOCUS account to eat lunch with them.
GBE PTA Family Movie Night - Join us on Thursday, April 2 before our 3 day weekend for a Movie Night at GB Rec Center. The event begins at 6pm and the movie begins at 7pm. There will be several food trucks on site.
Intent Forms for 26/27 - These will be coming home soon. Please help us plan for staffing by letting us know if your child will return for the 2026-2027 school year. All intent forms are due back no later than April 10.
Kindergarten Registration - Enrollment is open for 2026-2027 now! You can begin registering or attend the event on April 16 at GBE. This will be from 8:30am-6:00pm.
