All schools and teachers in the District will be communicating through a new platform this year called Rooms. To access the Rooms platform for your child's classroom, you will first need to download the district app, log into Focus and check to make sure all of your contact information is correct. You should receive a text and email on Monday, August 4 to download the app to add Rooms. Get a head start by downloading the app today.
Renovations on our cafeteria and kitchen are well underway. The roof is being replaced, ceiling grid, lights, and new duct work are started. The kitchen has been completely gutted and is ready for a complete transformation and the cafeteria floors are being prepped to be leveled. We are looking forward to moving back into our cafeteria sometime during the Fall semester.
The last day of school is Thursday, May 29. We will have early dismissal starting at 10:45 a.m. All students should be picked up no later than 11:15 a.m. All students present will receive breakfast and lunch.
It is tempting to start summer break a few days early. We still have learning opportunities for your children and expect to see them this week. Thank you for bringing your child to school as we finish out the 2024-25 school year.

TR Jackson's Rookie Teacher of the Year was recognized at a ceremony by Dr. Karen Barber this past week.
The next Head Start Policy Council and School Advisory Committee meeting will be held Friday, May 9, at 8:00 a.m.
Our Early Head Start garden is beginning to produce fruit. Ms. Montgomery and Ms. Morton's class had the opportunity to pick some tomatoes in the garden today.
Here's a look at what's happening at TR Jackson during the month of May.
On April 30, 2025, ABM managers with Ms. Nancy Haupt, Principal of TR Jackson Pre-K Center, and Ms. Linda Sanborn, District 1 Santa Rosa School Board, recognized the TR Jackson custodial team as recipients of the SRCDS Clean School of the Quarter (February – April 2025). Metrics used in the selection of the winning team were the Quarterly Custodial Report Card Survey, Quantity/Type of ABM work orders, and manager’s vote.
Congratulations to this amazing team at TR Jackson Pre-K School for providing an exceptionally clean and safe learning environment for all who attend there. Each team member received an ABM certificate of appreciation and $150 in gift cards.
