Pace High Track Team Regional Results and the Journey to State
On May 2nd selected individuals from both the boy’s and girl's track team competed at regionals hosted by Pine Forest High School. Pace had seven specific athletes shine through competing in their different events. Seniors Alyssa Clark and Jiavers Yacinthe made their mark and solidified their spots as Regional Champions in the 800m dash with a time of 2:18.38 and the 110m hurdles with a 14:33, respectively. Pace also had five other athletes compete in track and field events allowing them a spot at state.
Keegan Dickerson threw the discus 52.2m, Hayden Jackson launched the javelin at a length of 51.85m, Jiavers Yacinthe competed in both the 110 hurdles and the long jump leaping 6.71m, Alyssa Clark competed in the 800m dash and is a part of the girls 4x800 relay team which also includes Grace Manor, Bree Stankard, Leah Iorg, and Clark.
