Pace High's Yearbook and WPHS teams attended the FSPA State Convention in Orlando. Both groups had a big showing in the convention contests. WPHS won 3rd place overall in the Edit to the Beat category and 3rd place overall in Video Short Film. The Yearbook staff won honorable mentions in the yearbook spread and photo story categories. Congrats to our journalism students!
Pace High’s yearbook co-editor and photographer Elijah Nall won the Tom Pierce Photojournalist of the Year award at the Florida Scholastic Press Association’s state convention. This prestigious award celebrates the top photojournalists in the state of Florida and requires the submission of a portfolio of the student’s work that is evaluated by judges across the nation. Eli had dedicated thousands of hours to photographing, editing, and sharing the stories of Pace High’s athletes and student body over his four years of high school, taking over 500,000 photos and delivering over 30,000 to students. He has won many awards for his amazing work, but this one just might mean the most. It celebrates the hard work and dedication he has poured into his craft and we are so proud to call him ours!
